Alyssa Bierzynski
Alyssa Bierzynski is a writer and communications specialist with diverse experience in several industries, including manufacturing, higher education, and tourism.
After graduating from St. George’s University in 2008 with a BA in Liberal Studies with a specialization in English Language, Alyssa worked in the Marketing Department at Grenada Bottling Company before moving to Washington, DC in 2010 to complete her MA in Public Communication at The American University. While in Washington, DC, Alyssa worked at Events DC and AARP.
Alyssa returned to Grenada in 2012 and joined the St. George’s University (SGU) School of Arts and Sciences faculty in 2013 and taught English and Communication courses until 2019. At SGU, Alyssa was instrumental in revamping the English curriculum and other courses to better meet the changing needs of students. She also led the development of the Communications and
Career Development student support services. Now, as a communications consultant, Alyssa has established herself as one of Grenada’s leading copywriters and editors, working with clients in many different sectors.
Alyssa is the author of children’s picture books, Carla Dances Soca and Good Boy Milo, and co-author of the short story Anansi Plays Fancy Mas featured in the 2020 Dubai Expo’s collection of children’s tales from around the world.
