Dr. Richard A. Nixon is a globally recognized leader whose distinguished career span more than three decades. His expertise encompasses international diplomacy, strategic investment, telecommunications, and real estate development. As Chairman of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation, Dr. Nixon leads national initiatives to attract sustainable foreign direct investment, foster innovation, and drive socially conscious economic transformation within Grenada. 

Diplomatic Engagements and Leadership Roles

Renowned for his diplomatic acumen and cross-cultural fluency, Dr. Nixon has played a central role in shaping Grenada’s global engagement strategy. He currently serves as Senior Resident Ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is Ambassador Designate to the African Union. His previous diplomatic appointments include serving as Charge de Affaires at the Embassy of Grenada to the People’s Republic of China and as Honorary Consul for Grenada in Miami. In the private sector, Dr. Nixon also holds the positions of Chairman and President at Hideaway True Blue Inc. 

Corporate Leadership Experience

Dr. Nixon’s career in corporate leadership includes significant roles such as Sales Director for Nortel Networks in the Caribbean and Latin America, Marketing Director for Harris Corporation in the Asia Pacific region, and Vice President of the Caribbean Chamber of Commerce in Miami. 

Academic Qualifications

Academically, Dr. Nixon holds a Doctor of Business Administration with an Asian Focus from Hong Kong, a Master of Business Administration in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from California.
